Hotel Santa Barbara proudly announces the completion of its guest bathroom renovation project. Each of Hotel Santa Barbara’s 75 guest bathrooms underwent a full renovation with a design update and modern features.
The project included custom-designed vanities, glass-paneled showers and tubs, and new tile top-to-bottom. Energy-efficient lighting went into each bathroom, as well as state-of-the-art energy-efficient thermostats in each room.
Local architect Dawn Sherry of Sherry and Associates, Architects Inc. was brought on to create the design. Much thought was given to creating spaces that were both modern in functionality and gave a nod to the history of the 94-year-old hotel.
“What began as a dream really turned into a labor of love,” shared Hotel Santa Barbara. “We’ve made many improvements since my family bought this beautiful building in 1975. Hotel Santa Barbara has always been about quality and comfort for our guests, and we are excited to share these new bathrooms with Santa Barbara visitors just in time for the busy summer season.”
The new bathrooms not only refresh the look of Hotel Santa Barbara, but also provide a better overall guest experience. “Our renovated guest bathrooms have a much more spacious feel and provide our guests with more usable counter space. We think our repeat guests, and new guests alike, will love the updated look of the bathrooms in addition to the functionality.” Jennie Jacobs, Director of Sales and Marketing.
Each bathroom also includes beautiful artwork of Santa Barbara scenes by local artist Karin Shelton (which can also be purchased for sale in the Hotel Santa Barbara’s gift shop, Asher Market.)
The project, which began in January of this year, revealed the bathrooms one floor at a time, and guest feedback has been positive. “We’ve had a really positive response to the bathrooms,” shared the General Manager of the property. “They are beautiful and functional, with all of the comforts of home.”
In addition to fully renovated guest bathrooms, the hotel also added in a new ramp to the back entrance, and the front desk received a functional facelift.
